Travels
The Butler family loves to travel. From day one, Alex and I have set aside a chunk of our monthly budget for travel. Whether we are visiting family and friends, serving on mission trips, or exploring new destinations, we have the bug! We decided to include Lily in our ambitious travel plans from an early age. It isn't documented here (because who had time for that in the early postpartum stages?!) but we whisked the babe away to Washington, DC at 3 weeks old to attend a conference and visit friends. A ten hour car ride with a 3 week old baby and two inexperienced parents was quite the laugh. But we made it and haven't stopped traveling since! Lily also took her first plane ride at 10 weeks, when we flew to Florida for a beach vacation. The short flight was a breeze, especially with help of my parents and sister at the airport. In her short life, Lily has trekked to 17 states, including California. She is a seasoned traveler and we highly recommend travel with babies....
