First Christmas

Today marks Lily's first Christmas. True, every day seems to bring a first with an infant, but Advent into Christmastide has brought a special set of firsts.

First cookie baking, although Lily slept in the Ergo Baby for most of that. I did let her taste a tiny piece of shortbread.

First Christmas partying. This turned into Lily's second, third, fourth, fifth party. So let's just say there have been lots of parties!

First Santa visiting. Baby girl absolutely nailed her Santa visit. (We went to Sullivan's Hardware where they took us to the North Pole on an awesome life-sized train!)

First German marketing. We visited friends Joe and Lisa in Chicago and made our annual trip to the Christkindlmarket in Daley Plaza. German food, drink, and loot. Lily made lots of friends.

First candle lighting. We spent Christmas Eve at my dad's church and lit our candles from the Christ candle as we sang Silent Night. It was a beautiful moment!

We have enjoyed every last minute of our Lily girl this season. Happy Christmas from our family to yours.
